The publication "East Art Map: Contemporary Art and Eastern Europe" will be released in April 2006. Starting mid March 2006 the EAM project will be presented worldwide.

"East Art Map" website

Launch, Ljubljana “East Art Map” is going online. In the past few years, IRWIN, supported by “New Moment” and working together with critics, curators, and artists, has compiled a databank with information on more than 200 artists and projects from eastern Europe.The project “East Art Map” calls upon interested persons to take part in constructing the history of and sketching an art map of eastern Europe. The system is extremely simple: a new project or a new artist can only then be included in the map when an already captured data set is deleted at the same time. The visitor to the website must justify this decision. The changes made to the databank and the reasons given are to be archived and made available on the website for discussion until an international jury settles the final topography of the “East Art Map”. www.eastartmap.org
