Community Art
Community Art has been founded and registered in Zagreb in 2001 as NGO (non-government organization) by artists Ivana Keser, Aleksandar Battista Ilić in collaboration with philosophers, activists and theoreticians like Karmen Ratković, Tanja Vrvilo, Maja Uzelac and other people from different fields.

Community Art is an open project, a permanent public forum and a process, that refers to aspects of contemporary life, art and politics of existence, co-existence, resistance and education. It is based on personal experiences, interdisciplinary projects and collaborative processes initiated by group of artists in 1990.

It gathers people from different fields, which through their own activities look at issues and phenomena the project is dealing with, concerning the following subject areas: urban conditions, art initiatives, community initiatives, normativity and society, biology and technology, film and media.

Community Art initiates mainly long-term collaborative projects. The process consists of different forms, from discussions to walks, from performances and films to workshops and seminars. One of their activities is the non-institutional Community Art and Theory School.
